The first (founding) production of the newly established AntiTeatro, based on the extensive essay Masse und Macht(1960) by Nobel Prize laureate Elias Canetti, which explores how an individual within a mass loses their anxieties and inhibitions, dissolving blissfully into the crowd. According to Canetti, the mass is a natural phenomenon, a dangerous force, and a predatory creature, while power is the instrument of its control.
Prerequisites:
a) At a time when social discourse increasingly divides people into camps that (and this must be stated directly) contain the crystallized forms of opposing military masses, it is essential to create space for independent and critical thinking, free from the influence of any mass.
b) The first, most difficult, and most important step is to define oneself against oneself. A person must first stand against themselves (face to face). To see themselves. To truly know themselves.
c) Because knowledge and peace are the ultimate goals of this process.
Aim:
The aim of the production is to analyze the phenomenon of mass and power to such an extent that we paralyze it within ourselves.
